How to register/log in

1. Visit www.absa.co.bw
2. Click logon next to the search tab
3. Click register
4. Enter customer information and accept the terms and conditions 
5. Customer receives OTP via SMS 
6. Enter OTP and click next
7. Create username and password on the password confirmation screen
8. Click next
9. You will see a confirmation screen 

Always logout after using your online account.

How to make a loan top up request
We are always looking for faster, safer and easier ways for you to get things done. Our internet banking platform allows you to request and apply for a loan top online. There is no need for you to visit the branch anymore as an existing customer for this service. This is a secure process to follow:
  1. Log on to www.absa.co.bw
  2. Enter your credentials
  3. Click on your loan facility that you want to top up
  4. A  pay now or top up option will pop up
  5. Select  the loan top up option
  6. Follow the prompts and fill all requested information
  7. Submit and we will be in touch with you
 
 
How to purchase electricity


1. Visit www.absa.co.bw
2. Click logon next to the search tab
3. Click login
4. Enter username and password and click log in
5. Enter OTP received via SMS and click next
6. Select 'transfer and payment' tab
7. Select 'pay a bill' on the right of the screen
8. Select payee, click next and enter amount (for registered biller)
9. For a new payee, select electricity under biller type and select  Prepaid 1 or 2 of your choice
10. Enter meter number and payee nickname
11. Enter amount and click next
12. Review and confirm transaction details
13. You will see a confirmation screen showing that your transaction was successful

How to do a fund transfer
  • How to do a fund transfer (Absa to Absa)

     

    1. Visit www.absa.co.bw

    2. Click logon next to the search tab
    3. Click login
    4. Enter username and password and click log in
    5. Enter OTP received via SMS and click next
    6. Select 'transfer and payment' tab
    7. Select account you want to transfer funds from and payee
    8. For a registered payee, enter amount, payment description and click next (For a new payee, enter customer details and follow the next steps)
    9. Review and confirm transaction details
    10. You will see a confirmation screen

  • How to do bank to wallet transfers

     

    1. Visit www.absa.co.bw

    2. Click logon next to the search tab

    3. Click login

    4. Enter username and password

    5. Enter OTP received via SMS and click next

    6. Select Mobile Wallet Service under the 'I want to' text

    7. Select a payee

    8. Select/enter mobile number

    9. Enter amount

    10. Add to payee list if you wish

    11. Click next

    12. Confirm details and click next

    13. If transfer is made to an exisiting payee, transaction will be successful.

    14. If transfer is made to a new payee, an OTP will be sent to you to validate and then the transaction will be successful

How to make an international payment
  1. Visit www.absa.co.bw
  2. Click logon next to the search tab
  3. Click login
  4. Enter username and password and click log in
  5. Enter OTP received via SMS and click next
  6. Select 'transfer and payment' tab
  7. Select the account to transfer funds from
  8. Select ‘New Payee’ from the drop down under International & Urgent Transfers
  9. Enter beneficiary’s full details – name, account number, address
  10. Enter beneficiary bank details
  11. Select the currency in which you would like to transfer to be made, from the drop down menu e.g. rand for transaction to South Africa
  12. Enter amount to transfer
  13. Select details of charges from the drop down
  14. Enter payment description
  15. Click ‘Next’ to go to the next screen
  16. Enter OTP sent to your mobile number
  17. Click ‘Next’ to review and confirm transaction details
  18. You will see a confirmation screen

 

NB – In line with Bank of Botswana clearing periods, international payments/transfers can only be done from Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 14:30
