How to register as a new user
  1. Download Absa Botswana Mobile App via google play store or Apple store
  2. Open the App on your device
  3. Click register
  4. Enter your details and click next
  5. Enter bank details and click next
  6. Customer receives OTP via SMS
  7. Enter OTP 
  8. Create an online banking username
  9. Create an online banking password
  10. You will see a confirmation screen and are now registered.
How to add a beneficiary
  • Airtime top up

     

    1. Open the Absa Botswana Mobile App on your device

    2. Login

    3. Select 3 lines at the top left of the screen

    4. Select Manage Recipients 

    5. Select Add new recipient 

    6. Select Buy Airtime

    7. Select Network operator (Mascom/Orange/Bemobile)

    8. Input cell number and recipient nickname

    9. Review and save recipient

  • Electricity

     

    1. Open the Absa Botswana Mobile App on your device

    2. Login

    3. Select the 3 lines at the top left of the screen

    4. Select Manage Recipients 

    5. Select Add new recipient

    6. Select Bill Payment 

    7. Select Electricity as bill type

    8. Select Prepaid 1 or 2 (Any of your choice)

    9. Enter meter number and recipient nickname

    10. Select next

    11. Select save

    12. You will see a confirmation screen

  • DSTV

     

    1. Open the Absa Botswana Mobile App on your device

    2. Login

    3. Select the 3 lines at the top left of the screen

    4. Select Manage Recipients 

    5. Select Add new recipient

    6. Select Bill Payment 

    7. Select Television Subscription as bill type

    8. Select Multichoice - DSTV

    9. Enter smart card number and recipient nickname

    10. Select next

    11. Select save

    12. Enter and confirm OTP

    13. You will see a confirmation screen

  • Fund transfer to an Absa account

     

    1. Open the Absa Botswana Mobile App on your device

    2. Login

    3. Select the 3 lines at the top left of the screen

    4. Select Manage Recipients 

    5. Select Add new recipient

    6. Select Domestic Absa Account

    7. Enter branch name, account number, account holders name and recipient nickname

    8. Select next 

    9. Review and save

    10. Enter OTP and comfirm

    11. You will see a confirmation screen

How to purchase electricity

1. Open the Absa Botswana Mobile App on your device
2. Login
3. Select Pay Bill icon
4. Select registered biller 
5. Select account to debit from and enter amount to top up
6. Select next
7. Review bill and confirm payment
8. You will see a confirmation screen
9. You receive token via SMS

How to do a fund transfer
  • How to do a fund transfer (Absa to Absa)

     

    1. Open the Absa Botswana Mobile App on your device

    2. Login

    3. Select 'Transfers' icon at the bottom of the screen 

    4. Select Absa to Absa

    5. Select account to transfer from, select account to transfer to, enter amount, enter reference and click next

    6. Confirm transfer

    7. You will see a confirmation screen

  • How to do bank to wallet transfers

     
    1. Open the Absa Botswana Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Select 'Mobile Wallet' icon at the bottom of the screen
    4. Select for myself or for someone new
    5. In the case of someone new, enter the mobile number, wallet type, amount, account to be debited and select whether you want to save as a beneficiary or not.
    6. Click next
    7. Confirm wallet transaction
    8. Enter OTP you received via SMS
    9. You will see a confirmation screen
