Gaborone - In an innovative move to support Botswana's small and medium enterprises, Absa Bank Botswana today announced the launch of its "Win a Truck" campaign, a groundbreaking initiative that rewards business customers with life-changing transport solutions while promoting a culture of savings.

The campaign, which runs from 1 May 2025 to 31 October 2025, offers businesses the chance to win quarterly mini-trucks and one grand 5-ton truck by simply saving or growing their balances in Absa Business Current or Call Accounts. This comes at a critical time when many SMEs face transport and logistics challenges that hinder their growth potential.

Keletso Setimela, Absa's Head of Business Banking, emphasised the campaign's transformative potential: "Transportation remains one of the biggest obstacles for our SMEs. With this campaign, we're not just giving away trucks - we're removing a major barrier to business growth. Every truck awarded represents new opportunities for a Botswana entrepreneur to expand their operations and reach new markets."

To qualify, new customers need to open a Business Current or Call Account and maintain a minimum balance of P50,000 for nine months, while existing customers can participate by growing their balance by P50,000. The unique structure rewards additional savings, with every extra P50,000 earning another entry into the draw.

"We've designed this campaign to do two important things: help businesses solve a practical problem through the truck prizes, while simultaneously encouraging the financial discipline that will serve them well beyond the campaign period."
